The winter season is the best time to pacify
Kapha (phlegm, mucous). According to Ayurvedic texts, in winter, Kapha
dosha accumulates in your system. To facilitate greater health you should

It is said that during spring, Kapha dosha
liquefies. Therefore, like winter, spring is a good time for Kapha

Here are some signs that indicate you may
have excess Kapha in your body:
· Obesity or overweight
· Congestion, runny nose
· Slow mind
· Fatty deposits/lipoma
· Slow digestion, assimilation and/or elimination
Tips for staying balanced in winter and/or
spring:
· Keep warm.
· Enjoy lighter foods such as fresh vegetables or
fruits in season.

planet making it the hottest time of year. It is the season of Pitta

have excess Pitta:
· Anger, frustration
· Impatience
· Feeling over-heated
· Any 'itis' or inflammation

· Keep cool.

cool or cold outside. Qualities of Vata --
cold, dry light, rough -- increase in your physiology during
autumn months making it the best
